The Hasli cake - the delight from the Haslital

Classic hasli cake

What you need:

  • 500 g cake dough of your choice
  • 150 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 150 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 dl cream
  • 1 dl milk
  • 1 tbsp flour

 

This is how it's done:

Roll out the dough for a round cake tin (diameter 28 cm). Grease and line the tray and prick the pastry.

Mix all the other ingredients together to make a thick batter and spread over the cake batter.

Bake in a hot oven at 180°C for approx. 30 minutes.

Make a paper silhouette of your choice, place it on the finished cake and sprinkle with icing sugar. Remove the silhouette - done.

Doras Hasli-Chüoche

What you need:

  • 1 round cake tin of your choice
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g almonds, ground
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 dl single cream


How to make it:

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  1. Mix the sugar and egg
  2. Add the cream and mix
  3. Add the nuts and mix

Spread the mixture over the cake mixture, bake the cake in the lower half of the oven for approx. 30 minutes.

The cake must be moist on the inside.
