Hit the slopes

Leisurely hike through the idyllic Reichenbach valley

Along snow-covered mountain peaks, through fir forests, past picturesque chalets - the Reichenbach Valley offers the perfect backdrop for relaxing winter hikes. The chalet hotel Schwarzwaldalp, which not only offers overnight accommodation but also organises cosy fondue chinoise evenings, is located in the middle of this tranquil landscape. The Schwarzwaldalp is also the perfect starting point for shorter snowshoe tours. Sooner rather than later, you will catch sight of the Wellhorn in the Reichenbachtal valley. The mountain rises above the valley like a gigantic giant. The eastern side of the Wellhorn is surrounded by the Rosenlaui glacier, which is picturesquely embedded in the mountain landscape.

A descent on two skids

Sledging from the Grosse Scheidegg to the Schwarzwaldalp - an unforgettable winter experience for families and adventure-seekers alike. The impressive pass road, surrounded by mountain peaks, is the perfect backdrop for speedy descents. Once you reach the bottom, the postbus takes you back up to Grosse Scheidegg - and the fun can start all over again.

Climbing under the roof

In summer, the Haslital is a climbing Eldorado. But you can also climb and boulder here in winter - at the Haslital climbing centre in Meiringen. Thanks to the different levels of difficulty, the hall is suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers. The varied challenges in the hall reflect the natural diversity of the rock and offer an ideal environment for training and improving climbing skills. Whether alone, in a smaller or larger group: there is something for every climbing fan to discover here.

A day on the ski slopes, in the hiking area or in the climbing gym - that makes you hungry. Fortunately, the Haslital has a wide range of places to stop for refreshments. Whether it's a hot mulled wine, a delicious raclette or a Hasli cake: A treat for your taste buds is guaranteed.

Finally, this: Did you know that the Sherlock Holmes Museum in the village centre of Meiringen is also open on selected days in winter? Yet another reason to make your way to the Haslital.
