The only water-powered planing machine in Switzerland.

Built over 100 years ago in the idyllic Reichenbachtal valley, the Schwarzwaldalp saw still works today as it did on the first day.

The Schwarzwaldalp sawmill was built in 1896 and completely restored in 2000. With the only water-powered planing machine in Switzerland and a replica waterwheel from 1896, the saw is the cultural attraction in the Rosenlauital.
