Aarbiwak SAC

Remote, quite comfortable, cosy high mountain bivouac in the middle of the glacier basin. Long glacier tour from the Grimsel Hospiz via the Unteraar and Finsteraar glaciers. Imposing view directly to the east face of the Finsteraarhorn. Starting point for challenging high-alpine ascents of the Lauteraarhorn, Finsteraarhorn or Studerhorn and crossings Strahleggpass-Schreckhornhütte (partly marked), Finsteraarjoch and Agassizjoch.
