Spectacular suspension rope bridge

It's not just crossing the spectacular suspension rope bridge that requires courage! The ride on the former works railway of Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG over the deep chasms of the Trift Gorge also gives you a tingling sensation in your stomach!

The Trift railway provides access to the glacier valley of the same name with an adventurous ride through the Trift Gorge. It is the starting point for a short mountain hike followed by a crossing of the spectacular Trift suspension rope bridge. The two SAC huts Trift and Windegg are worth a visit and are starting points for high-alpine mountain tours.

Hike: After the approximately one-and-a-half-hour hike to the Trift bridge, the reward is a stunning view of the turquoise-blue glacial lake and the tongue of the Trift glacier. The way back leads past the Windegg SAC hut.
